Interviews

Ghent Family Medicine provides basic hotel accommodations for candidates on the night before the interview. Dinner is held that evening at a local restaurant with a few of our residents. Attendance at dinner is not required, but it is encouraged. The purpose of the dinner is to give the candidate a chance to mingle with current residents and learn about the program in an informal setting.

On interview day, the candidate should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. for an overview and welcome with program leadership. Business professional dress is highly encouraged.

Candidates will likely interview with four current faculty members and one resident for 20 minutes each. At the conclusion of interviews, the candidate will get a chance to tour the campus with a current resident, which will be followed by lunch. The interview day typically concludes around 1:30 p.m.

For further information or to request any special accommodations, please contact Ms. Ally Hemphill by email at hemphiam@evms.edu or by phone at 757.446.5738. If you must cancel or change an interview, please email us as soon as possible.
