Power partnership

This fellowship is a collaboration between EVMS and Emergency Physicians of Tidewater (EPT) – one of the largest groups of emergency medicine physicians in Virginia.

Fellows are employees of EPT and receive a generous annual stipend with opportunities for immediate hire after completing the program.

Why emergency medicine?

Experience the satisfaction of saving lives and make a direct impact
on patients.

Learn the ins and outs of trauma surgery, critical care, pediatric emergency medicine and more.

Think on your feet and face a broad range of new challenges everyday.

Dynamic learning environment

Fellows train at eight different emergency departments. Rotations in a Level I trauma center, in a pediatric hospital and in urban and community settings provide exposure to various patient populations and practices.

Fellows also participate in an emergency ultrasound course and multiple simulation exercises.
