NOTE: In accordance with a message emailed on March 16, all MD and Health Professions students are being recalled from all clinical rotations effective immediately and until further notice.
The EVMS School of Health Professions has both online degree programs and residential programs that occasionally use online components. So, in general, we have experience in the online world.
That said, transitioning completely to online and remote instruction for all coursework will be an adjustment. We will provide necessary support for our faculty, staff and students to make this transition as smooth as possible. The transition will begin Monday, March 16, and proceed as quickly as possible.
EVMS is working closely with our educational technology vendors to ensure continuity and stability of support services throughout this period of high demand from our campus community. Faculty members have received guidance and recommendations about providing effective education remotely. We will continue to leverage our expertise to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of our teaching and research missions.
Given the hands-on nature of certain Health Professions classes and clinical requirements for degree completion, individual Program Directors are responsible for communicating the specifics of instructional plans to their students and faculty.
