Managers should observe the Communicable Disease Policy linked below. If an employee needs screening, the employee should call Occupational Health at 757.446.5870 (do not report in person). Managers should ensure that the individual’s work area is properly cleansed.
As EVMS continues to monitor COVID-19, compensated faculty and staff should review the following workplace policies and guidance. Be aware that this information likely will change as the situation evolves and more becomes known. Questions may be directed to Human Resources at 757.446.6043.
DO NOT REPORT TO WORK if you experience symptoms of COVID-19 (i.e., cough, fever, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing), have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have been in close proximity with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19. Employees must contact Human Resources immediately and notify their direct supervisor they will be out. Human Resources will also follow up with supervisors after speaking with the employee.

Due to the activation of the continuity of operations plan, departments may approve remote work. If remote work is approved, managers must provide a list to HR identifying the employees working remotely.
