Makes 3 cups


  • 1 cup dried lentils, rinsed
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups pasta sauce


  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepot.
  2. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low.
  3. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. If sauce gets too dry and starts to stick to the bottom of the pot, add a few tablespoons of water.
  4. Serve over pasta.
