Makes 3 cups
- 1 cup dried lentils, rinsed
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups pasta sauce
- Add all ingredients to a saucepot.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. If sauce gets too dry and starts to stick to the bottom of the pot, add a few tablespoons of water.
- Serve over pasta.
