The EVMS MD Alumni Association is leading an effort to raise a $125,000 endowment to support future students as they follow in our footsteps. They face significantly higher financial hurdles than we did—across the nation, 90% of MD students graduate with $200,000 in debt.
EVMS has taught us and we believe in giving back. Created in 2011, the EVMS MD Alumni Scholarship recognizes a student who shares our beliefs and passions. Our goal is to select students who demonstrate academic excellence and have improved the community through extracurricular pursuits and social outreach. It is a merit based award providing one rising second year EVMS medical student with tuition assistance.
