This award recognizes an EVMS legacy community faculty member who excelled in their work and consistently supported and met expectations of their role, relative to EVMS, at a high level in at least one of the institutional mission areas: teaching, research/discovery, clinical care, administrative service. This award recognizes a legacy community faculty member who:
- Demonstrated commitment to the profession and to the EVMS mission, vision and values.
- Demonstrated a high degree of professionalism.
- Served as an inspiration and role model to the EVMS community (e.g., students).
- Surpassed requirements of his/her community faculty position and achieved an exceptional record of continued extraordinary commitment and service to EVMS and its mission.
- Promoted or improved the image of EVMS.
Eligibility and Award
All EVMS legacy community faculty members in good standing with at least one year of service by June 30, 2024 are eligible to receive recognition with these awards. Each recipient will receive a $500 monetary stipend and a commemorative award. A legacy community faculty member previously recognized with an Award for Excellence is not eligible to receive the same award for a period of five years (see listing here).
