Personal Health and a Culture of Wellness

‘Wellbeing’ involves looking at the whole picture of physical, social, emotional, intellectual and environmental factors for health care professionals – where it is estimated that 50% or more suffer from burnout. Multiple factors are responsible - both at the individual and institutional level - and strategies can be developed and implemented to empower individuals and change institutional cultures to achieve a culture of wellness.

At the end of the professional development byte, you will be able to:

Discuss the importance of personal wellbeing, factors that threaten wellness and identify holistic strategies that could improve wellness for an individual and an institution.
