Support scholarships at EVMS.
When our MD class of 2013 graduated, they collectively owed more than $21 million in student loan debt — for just 117 students. Every year, nearly nine out of 10 medical students graduate with $200,000 in debt. Students in other programs don't fare much better. The debt for Physician's Assistant students can run as high as $116,000. And it's the same all over the nation.
This staggering debt keeps some of the best and the brightest students from pursuing a healthcare career. That's why we need your help. Your scholarship support enables EVMS to attract and retain the most talented and committed future physicians and health professionals.
You can support scholarships at EVMS in several ways:
- Create a one-time scholarship with a gift of $5,000 or more
- Endow a scholarship with a minimum of $25,000 through a one-time gift, a pledge for up to 5 years or a planned gift
- Support an existing scholarship
"It's been my dream to attend EVMS," a scholarship recipient says, "and receiving this scholarship is beyond anything I could have ever hoped for."
