Department of Urology Residency Program

A Letter from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in our Urology Residency Program.

I became affiliated with the Eastern Virginia Medical School program in 1991 when I interviewed here. I was extremely excited about matching in Norfolk and finished my five years of residency, stayed in Norfolk to do the pelvic reconstructive fellowship, and then was pleased to accept a position in the Devine-Tidewater Urology group.

It has been a great honor to be asked to become Program Director, which is a job that I undertook in July 2006. I hope to be able to build on past experiences from my residency to allow the future residents to have as good of an experience as I was given.

We offer a well-rounded training program including experiences with urologic oncologists, pelvic reconstructive surgeons, endoscopic surgeons, and infertility specialists. I hope our Web site will help you in evaluating our program.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Sincerely,

Kurt A. McCammon, M.D., Director
