Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Two-Day
Student Course: The American College of Surgeons designates this
educational activity for a maximum of 19 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation to the activity. The course is approved by the American
College of Emergency Physicians for up to 19 Category 1 credits (1 hour = 1
credit). The course has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 19
Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. The course
is awarded a maximum of 19 hours of Category 1 PRA continuing medical
education credit for physician extenders.
Half-day Refresher Course: The
American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a
maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim
credit commensurate with the extent of their participation to the activity.
Approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for up to 5
Category 1 credits (1 hour = 1 credit).
One and Half-day Instructor Course:
The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a
maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim
credit commensurate with the extent of their participation to the activity.
Approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for up to 15
Category 1 credits (1 hour = 1 credit).
