Boards Step 1 and 2: Online Application
An online USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 application is now available
by visiting the USMLE page of the NBME website at www.nbme.org.
Click on "NBME Interactive Website for Applicants and Examinees" and then click on "Apply for USMLE." The instructions ask
you to "authenticate" and will then explain the process.
You will be asked to complete and submit Part A on the
Web site and then print, complete and send in Part B. Part A asks for biographic information, a choice of Step, eligibility period, and region, and whether
you are requesting test accommodations. Part B is similar to the "ID form" on the paper application - it requires a picture, school seal, school signature, and applicant signature. Part B also
includes information on fee(s) due and instructions for mailing the form.
You may use this Web application to apply for one or two Steps at the same time. The paper application can be downloaded at
www.usmle.org. Once you have completed your portion of the form,
take it to the Office of Student Affairs it to be signed and to have
the school seal affixed. We will mail the application for you.
