Federal methodology requires that all need determinations be based on a single student budget. If you demonstrate extenuating circumstances, requests for budget increases will be reviewed and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

A 9-month enrollment period is reflected for years 1 and 2. A 11-month enrollment period is reflected for year 4. A 12-month enrollment period is reflected for year 3.

**Step 1 Exam fee is added to year 2. Step 2CK and CS exam fees are added to year 3. Travel expenses associated with Step 2CS are added to year 4.

* Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.

The above standard student budget establishes a limit on the financial aid that an M.D. student is allowed to receive. The Office of Financial Aid encourages each student to economize in any way possible to minimize the amount of dollars that must be borrowed. Most students are able to live on far less than the amount allowed in the budget. The Federal Aggregate Stafford Limits is a combined total of $189,125.
