EVMS Health Requirements for Incoming Students Print E-mail

Incoming students must provide documentation of proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and polio.  Proof of immunization for hepatitis B and a positive anitbody titer is also required.  If an incoming student has not received hepatitis B immunization in the past, they can be vaccinated after school begins in the Occupaitonal Health Department.  Tuberculosis surveillance is also required:  a two-step tuberculin skin test or a chest x-ray report from the previous 12 months and documentation of evaluation for treatment for tuberculin skin test converters.
