Procedures

Our Clinical Practice is located in Suite 203 & 205 of the Sentara Cancer Institute's River Pavilion

The River Pavilion Entrance to
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital

Where is the Division of Sleep Medicine located?

We are located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital at 600 Gresham Drive in Norfolk, Virginia. The Medical Center complex is located at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue and Colley Avenue. Get door-to-door directions from MapQuest. Maps are available to assist patients in locating our facility.

Where do I go once inside the hospital?

Once you enter the hospital through the River Pavilion entrance, follow the signs to the main hospital. Take the A and B elevators beside the coffee shop to the fifth floor. Please note that it is a fairly long walk; if you feel you will need some assistance, please ask someone at the River Pavilion reception desk to call transportation for you.

Where do I park?

For initial consultations and office visits, patients should park in outpatient parking (located in the back of the hospital at the River Pavilion entrance). Tell the attendant you have an appointment in the hospital. We do not validate parking fees.

What is needed for an appointment?

For your visit to the Division of Sleep Medicine, patients need to bring the following items:

  • Picture ID
  • Insurance card
  • A referral (if required by the insurance company)
  • A note or prescription signed by the referring doctor as to why you are here (your doctor can fax this to us at (757) 388-2628)
  • A list of all current medications you are taking (prescription and over-the-counter medications)
  • The completed forms

What about a co-pay?

A co-pay will be collected for each visit.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

As with most medical appointments, 24 hours notice is requested. Appointments can be canceled after hours by leaving a message at (757) 388-3322.

What are the office hours of the Division of Sleep Medicine?

We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  We can be reached at (757) 388-3322 during those hours and (757) 388-4170 after 5:00 p.m.
