Contact Congress to protect GME programs |
Congress and the Obama Administration are discussing a deficit-reduction proposal that would cut federal GME support by up to 60 percent — $60 billion — and jeopardize residency training programs across the country. Congress is expected to finalize its multi-trillion-dollar package of program cuts in the next few days.
Please visit the AAMC Legislative Action Center to send a pre-formatted electronic letter to your Senators and Representatives urging them to oppose GME cuts as part of the deficit reduction. The process takes less than five minutes of your time and requires only your mailing address. |
