Grants & Contracts The Office of Research performs all pre-award and regulatory assurance functions for grants and contracts
at EVMS.
When Grants are Awarded
When grants are awarded, a grant
number and an account release are issued. The account release
signifies that all regulatory and financial aspects of the project are
in compliance and the investigator may begin to use the funds.
A formal award notice detailing the
name of the investigator, the sponsor, project title, and funded
amount is sent by the Office of Research to the President, the Dean,
and the EVMS Chronicle (internal newspaper).
