The purpose of the Summer Student Scholarship is to allow students to obtain a 10-week summer research experience under the guidance of a faculty member who is actively conducting research. Students are required to contact a faculty member directly for possible sponsorship. Once a sponsor is identified and project developed, application is made by the student for consideration of funding through this mechanism.

The Call for Proposals are sent to the first year medical students. The applications are available in the Office of Research or can be downloaded from the EVMS intranet,  Summer Student Scholarships 2007.
