Dr. Spiegel joined EVMS in 2001 after almost a decade in private practice. He obtained his medical degree from SUNY-Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he first gained an interest in cognitive therapy for anxiety disorders. Dr. Spiegel then completed his psychiatry residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Hershey-Penn State. His areas of interest include behavioral treatments for geriatrics and the interface between cognitive therapy and psychopharmacology for anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Spiegel is a clinical supervisor for psychiatry residents and psychology interns and presents to community mental health professionals.
