My research is focused in the area of cardiovascular behavioral medicine and psychiatric/behavioral genetics. My interdisciplinary research program aims to study the molecular-genetic and environmental influences on:
- mood disorders
- personality
- cognitive abilities
- lifestyle-related risk factors for cardiovascular disease
Most recently, my research focuses on neurobiologic mechanisms that may account for the co-morbidity between negative affectivity, depression and coronary artery disease using a molecular genetics approach.
