Dr. Aurora Kerscher has paper accepted for publication in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene

Aurora Esquela Kerscher, Ph.D. and William & Mary Assistant Professor Jon Allen have co-authored a paper describing the 13th known case in the United States and the 50th case worldwide of a human infected with the nematode Gongylonema pulchrum.
The article, entitled "Gongylonema pulchrum infection in a resident of Williamsburg, Virginia verified by genetic analysis", will be published in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. The pair were also awarded an EVMS/W&M enhancement grant to extend these studies further.
