Chang Won Lee, MD, PhD
Dr. Chang Won Lee, a research scholar, joined the EVMS Strelitz Diabetes Center in August of 2012. He is a graduate of the Pusan National University School of Medicine in South Korea, where he received his medical degree and a PhD in molecular biology. Dr. Lee completed his training in endocrinology at the Pusan National University School of Medicine. After completing his fellowship, he began his career at Konyang University Hospital as an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology. Dr. Lee is the Chief of Endocrinology at the Department of Internal Medicine, Busan St. Mary’s Medical Center and an adjunct associate Professor of Pusan National University School of Medicine. His research interests include diabetic neuropathy and microangiopathy. After joining at the Strelitz Diabetes Center, he has been involved in various studies of diabetic neuropathy.
Mi Kyoung Park, MD, PhD
Dr. Mi Kyoung Park, a research fellow from South Korea, came to the Strelitz Diabetes Center in December of 2012. She received her medical degree from Dong-A University College of Medicine in South Korea as well as a PhD in endocrinology and metabolism. Dr. Park completed her fellowship training in endocrinology at the Dong-A University Medical Center, and afterwards began work as an instructor of internal medicine in 2002. She was promoted to associate professor in 2008. Her research interests include diabetic dyslipidemia and metabolic syndrome. Since joining Neuroendocrine Unit at the Strelitz Diabetes Center, she has been involved in various basic science research projects delving into diabetic neuropathy and neuroendocrine tumors.
