The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation (VBF) named David Darrow, MD, Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the 2017 VBF Physician of the Year.

Dr. Darrow is founder and co-director of the EVMS Center for Hemangiomas and Vascular Birthmarks. The center provides multidisciplinary treatment programs that specialize in vascular lesions of the head and neck in both children and adults.

In 2016, Dr. Darrow conducted free dental exams in conjunction with the VBF Annual Conference, bringing a vitally important surgical review of port wine stains and other vascular birthmarks of the head, neck and mouth to the conference and clinic lineup. He will provide information during the conference lectures and conduct clinic appointments again this year during the 2017 Annual Conference and Clinics in October in Irvine, California. That’s also where he will accept his award.
