The Department of Physiology is an
integral part of the education and research mission of the Eastern
Virginia Medical School. All of the faculty are highly active and
funded with grants from national and local agencies and have committed
to the dual mission of research and teaching.
We are strongly committed to the teaching/training of Ph.D. graduate
and post-graduate students and the development of innovative medical
education techniques for medical and allied health students.
Since physiology is fundamental to the understanding of the clinical
practice of medicine, we believe that a firm commitment to the research
and teaching of physiology is vitally important to the academic and
clinical enterprise at EVMS. |
