Sports Medicine
Peter G. Gonzalez, MD, is a sports medicine fellowship-trained and board-certified physician who specializes in the non-surgical treatment of sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries.
The goal of EVMS Sports Medicine is to evaluate, diagnosis, and treat various musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. Dr. Gonzalez develops individualized treatment plans designed to help patients stay as active as possible at any age.
Dr. Gonzalez integrates non-invasive musculoskeletal ultrasound during office visits to evaluate injuries of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.
On-site fluoroscopy is available in the EVMS clinic for spinal injections (epidurals) and peripheral joint injections.
Runner's Clinic: All injured runner's, both recreational and competitive, will undergo a comprehensive biomechanical assessment as part of the injury evaluation. Please bring in your current running shoes.
