Nephrology and Hypertension

Our clinical division, located in Williams Hall, provides services to patients with kidney disease and hypertension in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

We evaluate and treat patients with all types of kidney-related conditions, including, but not limited to, those with acute and chronic kidney disease as a result of glomerulonephritis, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and Renal Cystic Disease. Our clinical services also extend to those with kidney stones and electrolyte disorders (including hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, and hypokalemia).

In addition, we evaluate and manage patients hospitalized at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with pre-existing and newly diagnosed kidney disease and uncontrolled hypertension in the acute care hospital setting.
