The goal of Eastern Virginia Medical School's Molecular Pathology Lab is to apply nucleic acid technology for diagnosis and disease management of patients using state-of-the-art nucleic acid amplification techniques such as polymerase chain reactions (PCR) to detect minute quantities of specific DNA or RNA.

The Molecular Pathology Lab strives to be a valuable resource for the medical community of Hampton Roads. However the laboratory receives and accepts specimens for testing from other states too.

For further information or to send a specimen for testing call (757) 446-5792.

New diagnostic assays are under development and will be posted as soon they are available.
