About OSP

Eastern Virginia Medical School’s Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) facilitates the submission of sponsored grants, contracts, and clinical agreements.  OSP works with EVMS faculty, staff, and students to ensure timely submission of proposals to sponsors and compliance with all sponsor and institutional requirements.  In addition, OSP is authorized as the institutional office to submit proposals.

Sponsored Programs is comprised of Pre-Award and Post-Award Services.  Pre-Award services manages all pre-award administrative and negotiation issues.  Pre-Award staff work with project investigators to review program solicitations, develop budgets, and communicate with sponsor contacts as necessary.  Post-Award Administration/Grants Accounting staff provide financial management oversight of an award from initial project setup through project close-out.

Cayuse 424 is a web-based software used in the development, validation, and submission of proposals to federal sponsors.  The system interfaces with Grants.gov and streamlines the proposal development process.
