Thomas R. Lee Center for Ocular Pharmacology

Education

Residency Training in Ophthalmology - Each year, at EVMS, two residents complete training in Ophthalmology after an intensive, thorough three-year clinical and research course of instruction.

Medical Student Fellowship Program – EVMS medical students enter in the research program of the Center during the summer between their freshman and sophomore year, continue during the second and third years, and complete the program with a dedicated research elective during their senior year.

Certified Ophthalmic Technology Program - The EVMS, Old Dominion University adjunct Bachelor of Science degree program graduates three students each year after a four-year course.

Honors Research Elective – The Center participates in the honors research elective program for outstanding undergraduate students majoring in biology or chemistry at Old Dominion University, Hampton University, and Norfolk State University. They spend 8-12 hours per week conducting independent research for at least two semesters but, more often, four semesters.
