Course Description: This elective permits the assumption of
greater patient responsibility on the part of the medical student,
in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. This elective is
recommended if a student is interested in pursuing a residency in
OB/GYN and desire more in depth exposure to the specialty. The
faculty will be pleased to attempt to tailor a program to the
student’s particular interest, but the basic usual expectation
should be advanced clinical management and reinforcement of
cognitive material and problem-solving skills. The student will
function as an “acting intern.” |
