Directions for Using the Medical Modeling & Simulation Database©

For basic searches:

• Type the keyword (e.g., laparoscopy, human factors, telepresence) you wish to search for in the blank search line and hit the Search button.
• The database will be searched and all available results will appear.
• To save the citations simply mark the checkbox to the left of each reference and then hit the Export button. The citations can be saved as XML or in a ResearchSoft/EndNote compatible format.

For more advanced searches:

• Click on the Advanced Search button.
• To specify one particular database, pick either the Companies and Projects Database or the Research Article database from the drop-down menu.
• To specify a certain field to search (such as year), input the keyword and choose the specific field you wish to search.
• To combine or refine searches use multiple entries. Use of the words AND, OR or NOT will help further refine the searches.
