The second year introduces students to human structural and functional abnormalities and the various therapeutic interventions used in the treatment of these disorders. The courses include immunology, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, clinical pathophysiology, psychopathology, and epidemiology/ biostatistics. The longitudinal mentorship and Introduction to the Patient II continue, with increasing emphasis on developing clinical skills and problem-solving abilities.
