ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF DERMATOLOGY
EASTERN VIRGINIA MEDICAL SCHOOL
NORFOLK, VIRGINIA

The Department of Dermatology at Eastern Virginia Medical School is seeking full-time faculty members with an interest in medical or surgical dermatology. The department (established in 2003) is comprised of four full-time dermatologists with expertise in cutaneous oncology, hair disorders, ethnic skin, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology. The Department is committed to supporting the mission of the medical school, to providing clinical service to the community, and to advancing knowledge through research.

A desire to teach is requisite. The department sponsors an ACGME-approved dermatology residency-training program and is also actively involved in teaching dermatology to primary care physicians, medical students and physician assistants.

Members of the faculty provide patient-centered quality care to patients from southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, both in a clinical setting and during hospital consultations.
EVMS is located in the Hampton Roads area of southeast Virginia. With a population of over 1.8 million people, the area enjoys a temperate coastal climate and is home to over 29 miles of Atlantic Ocean beaches, historic American culture and world-class museums. A three-hour drive connects residents with the Shenandoah Mountains or Washington, DC.
