Subspecialties

Residents have a wide array of subspecialty experiences available to them. Our program believes that a residency should be extremely flexible to meet the needs of its residents. Thus, the only required rotations are in Geriatrics and Intensive Care Medicine, both of which are required by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Residents may choose whatever subspecialties in which they desire to participate, based on their assessment of their strengths, weaknesses, and career goals. The total number of elective months during the three years of training is approximately twelve months.
