The program emphasizes comprehensive
training in general internal medicine, which prepares our residents for
practice in primary care or general internal medicine, or to enter
advanced training in subspecialty medicine.
In addition to our categorical program, the Department of Medicine
offers a combined Internal Medicine/Geriatrics residency. At the
completion of this program, residents will be board-eligible in Internal
Medicine and Geriatrics.
The Department of Medicine offers a preliminary
internal medicine year for those physicians requiring one year of
medicine prior to entry into another medical subspecialty program, or
for those who have not decided on a subspecialty. |
