| Conferences
We offer
an extensive array of conferences for our residents. Conference times
with adequate backup are arranged so that residents can easily attend
over 85 percent of these presentations. The following describe our
resident conferences.
Administrative Conference
Occurs once per month midway into our rotation month. At this
conference specific concerns of the residents are reviewed and
addressed.
Ambulatory Conference
Occurs each day prior to the start of the continuity clinic.
Didactic Forum
Main
format in which our didactic curriculum is presented. The forum takes
place each Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Geriatric Grand Rounds
Occurs three times per month at Hofheimer Hall.
Grand Rounds
Takes place each Wednesday 8:00 a.m. at all sites.
Journal Club
Each
month, all residents gather together to evaluate an evidence-based
approach on key articles of the medical literature.
Morning Report
Morning report occurs Monday through Friday at the DePaul and VA
Medical Centers and Monday, Tuesday and Friday at Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital.
Mortality and Morbidity
Conference
Takes place once a month at all sites.
Pathology Conference
Takes place at each site once per month.
