Annual Stipend

Educational Stipend

The Department of Internal Medicine provides an educational stipend each year for each resident, which may be used for conference attendance, professional dues, books/journals, or medical equipment.

PGY1: $250
PGY2: $300
PGY3: $350
PGY4: $350

Palm Devices

Residents are required to have a Palm handheld device for personal organization and patient care. If you do not have one already, you may purchase one and be reimbursed up to the amount of your educational allowance.

Uniforms

Residents are provided with monogrammed lab coats.

Moonlighting

For senior-level residents (PGY2-4) in good standing, moonlighting opportunities are available.

Vacation/Educational Leave

Residents of all levels are allowed three weeks of vacation time per year. In addition, up to five additional working days per year may be approved for residents to attend education conferences.

Residents are also allowed six days of leave for either the Christmas or New Year season, in addition to the above three weeks of vacation.
