C3ID - Center for the Comprehensive Care of Immune DeficiencyC3ID - Center for the Comprehensive Care of
Immune Deficiency

A Positive Outlook

Here at the Center, the entire staff maintains a positive outlook in caring for those living with HIV. HIV is no longer a terminal disease but is now a chronic, manageable condition somewhat like diabetes. With the proper attitude, commitment and expert care, many people with HIV will live a normal life.

A Partnership for Care

Each staff member attempts to address the total health care of their client, not just the virus. From the beginning, each client’s total needs are assessed and prioritized. Comprehensive, individualized treatment plans are carefully developed in partnership with each client.

C3ID believes that effective care is a collaboration between the client and provider. Our role is to provide cutting-edge medical care—the resources for medical success—while assisting the client to overcome their own social, psychological, emotional and sometimes financial issues, leading to good health and well-being in the presence of HIV.

A Comprehensive Approach

C3ID provides a wide range of client services from medical care to psychosocial support including primary care, specialty referrals and case management on site at many of the locations where C3ID is providing care throughout Hampton Roads.

At Convenient Locations

We know that many clients maintain an active family and work life and that good HIV care must be convenient and accessible. Through a combined effort with public health districts and community health centers in eastern Virginia, the physicians and staff of C3ID are providing the same quality HIV care at eight locations throughout the Hampton Roads area on a monthly rotation schedule.
