The Departments of Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation and Psychiatry & Behavioral
Sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School are
jointly recruiting for an Assistant Professor
level faculty position with a primary faculty
appointment to PM&R.
The selected
applicant will work with a board-certified pain
specialist to develop a spine center within PM&R
and will teach within both Departments.
Applicants with a strong commitment to diversity
in academic, clinical, and research pursuits are
especially encouraged.
Applicants must
have a doctorate and internship training in APA-accredited
programs in clinical psychology and have/be
eligible for licensure as a clinical
psychologist in Virginia. The preferred
applicant will have post-doctoral training in
health psychology or behavioral medicine with
prior clinical experience and research
involvement in pain management activities.
Applicants should demonstrate promise to develop
fundable research and must qualify to teach and
supervise medical students, physiatry residents,
and clinical psychology students in APA-accredited
clinical psychology internship and doctoral
programs.
Salary is competitive.
