Kay Stovall, M.A., ATR-BC,
MFT, is a registered, board-certified art therapist. She is the
director of the Graduate Art Therapy Program and an Associate Professor in the
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She received a B.A. in Art History from the
University of Pennsylvania and obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola
Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
Prior to coming to EVMS, Ms. Stovall was Associate Professor and Coordinator
of Internships at Vermont College of Norwich University. She has served as a
Director and Treasurer of the American Art Therapy Association and as a Director
and Standards Chair for the Art Therapy Credentials Board. She has presented at
universities and national conferences on topics including family art therapy, art therapy
supervision, multiple family groups, and professional development.
In addition to her administrative duties, she coordinates placements, teaches the family art therapy courses,
and supervises student
internships and thesis research.
