Federal Financial Aid Requirements:

To qualify for Federal Student Aid programs and to maintain eligibility for these programs, an applicant must:

  • be accepted for admission to Eastern Virginia Medical School.
  • be enrolled in good standing at least half time.
  • be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • be registered with the Selective Service if a male, at least 18 years old, under 26 years old, and not currently a member of the Armed Forces.
  • not be in default on a previous student loan or owe a refund on any Title IV funds received at another educational institution
  • maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • be creditworthy.

 

Federal Student Aid Programs

By completing the FAFSA and EVMS Financial Aid Application students can apply for one or more of the following Federal Student Aid Programs:

  • Federal Stafford Loan
  • Federal Graduate PLUS Loan
  • Federal Perkins Loan
  • Primary Care Loan
  • Loans for Disadvantaged Students

 

Institutional Aid Requirements:

To qualify for EVMS Institutional aid programs and to maintain eligibility for these programs, an applicant must:

  • be accepted for admission to Eastern Virginia Medical School.
  • be enrolled in good standing at least half time.
  • meet requirements for institutional aid programs as specified by donor. 
  • be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • meet Federal Student Aid requirements.

 

Institutional Aid Programs

By completing the FAFSA, the EVMS Financial Aid Application, and Supplemental Application students can apply for one or more of the following Institutional Aid Programs:

  • EVMS Scholarships
  • EVMS Loans
