| EVMS Office of Financial Aid: Payment of Tuition |

Each term, tuition is due the first day of class. However, fees are only assessed the first day of class of each academic year. Financial aid awards are credited to the student's tuition account in the following manner:
Funds from sources other than EVMS-administered funds or federal loan programs will be credited to the student's account upon receipt. Deferments Students may request a deferment of payment of tuition and fees if a justifiable reason exists. Tuition deferments are given at the discretion of the Financial Services Office, located in Room 307 of Smith Rogers Hall. Tuition deferment request forms are available in the Financial Services Office and should be completed and submitted to that office for approval on or before the day that tuition is due. Questions concerning the payment of tuition may be directed to the Financial Services Office at (757) 446-6067. Late Fees A late fee of $50 and an additional 1.5 percent of the amount due per month will be assessed if tuition and fees are not paid in full. Failure to pay tuition, fees and other charges may result in dismissal from EVMS. Students should confirm that their bills are paid in full by viewing their account online at http://sinapse.evms.edu/finance. Refunds Payments received in excess of tuition and fees will result in a refund to the student. Typically, the refund is available to the student within five working days after the funds have been credited to the student's account. Students may pick up refund checks from the Student Loan Office in Smith Rogers Hall, Room 307. Students are encouraged to check their account status online at http://sinapse.evms.edu/finance. |
