The philosophy of the
Portsmouth Family Medicine Residency is to support our residents in an
environment that promotes expert, compassionate, and comprehensive
care. We focus on treating the entire family and caring for the whole
person - body, mind, and spirit.

teacher, and friend, working as a part of your community. Our goal is

As the only residency in our
progressive community
hospital, our residents receive unparalleled education and experience in caring for
a wide range of patients. From the ER to the ICU, neonates to hospice patients, and
from common ailments to esoteric diagnoses, Portsmouth Family Medicine residents are at the
forefront of patient care. PFM is
also in the unique position of having all of the advantages of being
part of a nearby
medical school, while concurrently benefiting from the guidance of our outstanding
community faculty. Our commitment to improving the health care of Portsmouth’s citizens
is evident in our outreach activities. In this setting, our residents
have ample opportunity to explore special interests. |
