 The
Ghent Family Medicine Center
 The Ghent Family Medicine Center has
nearly 14,000 square feet of clinical space in Hofheimer Hall in Eastern
Virginia Medical Center. It is located on the Eastern Virginia Medical
School Campus and directly across from our main teaching hospital,
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Our residency is close to the harbor
and is surrounded by diverse neighborhoods from which Ghent Family
Medicine draws its patients. The clinical area includes 24 examination
rooms, three preceptor rooms, two large procedure rooms, and laboratory
facilities.
Residents
have the opportunity to learn from a diverse panel of patients and are
supported by team nurses, nurse practitioners, a behavioral scientist, a
clinical pharmacologist, and office administrators. Administrative
offices are located one floor above the clinical center. Residents enjoy
a spacious common room equipped with a computer system, modular work
stations and lockers.
