Library Instruction

The Brickell Medical Sciences Library provides access to a variety of resources to meet the needs of the faculty, staff, and students of EVMS:

  • Print and electronic books and journals
  • Electronic databases
  • An ever-widening selection of journals available electronically
  • Document delivery and interlibrary loan services
  • A computer classroom well-equipped  for teaching hands-on computer-based lessons

To help you make the most of these and other resources available through the library, librarians with extensive training in the use of a wide variety of databases and resources are available for

  • Individual or group hands-on training sessions to learn how to most effectively use the library databases and resources, including Internet search engines.
  • Individual or group tours of the library to help you navigate the four floors.
  • Individual or group instruction sessions to learn more about the services available through the library.

If you or your group would like to schedule an instruction session, please call April Pace, the Education Coordinator for the library, at 446-5846 or send an e-mail to paceaa@evms.edu. A librarian will work with you to customize the session to meet your research and information needs.
