He is medical director of the Virginia Prostate Center and is a member of a number of boards and committees. He is past trustee of the American Board of Urology, as well as past president of the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO). He is president elect of the American Urological Association (May 2006-May 2007). He has received the following awards: He has written hundreds of articles on the topic of urology and has made over 200 presentations and invited lectures.
