Class Description, Cost and Duration

2012 Dates

Adult CPR/AED  $55 - 2 hours.
8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
2 hours of instruction in CPR for the lay rescuer, incorporating the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association. Course includes care for choking emergencies, AED training, and recognizing heart attacks and strokes. 2-year certification. Child skills can be added for an additional $5

Adult CPR/AED with First Aid - $60 - 4 hours
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
4 hours of instruction in CPR for the Adult and Child , care for choking emergencies in adults and children,and AED training. First aid skills, include caring for seizures, diabetic emergencies, broken bones, heat and cold emergencies, scene safety, and blood borne pathogen information. 2-year certification Child skills can be added for an additional $5

Adult, Infant and Child CPR/AED - $60 - 3 hours
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

3 hours of instruction in CPR and AED use for adults, infants and children, and care for choking emergencies. We also discuss symptoms of Heart Attack and Stroke, and special considerations for infant emergencies. 2-year certification

Adult, Infant and Child CPR with First Aid- $70
- 4.5 hours
8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

4.5 hours of instruction in the chain of survival, care for choking emergencies, CPR for adults, infants and children, use of an AED, and first aid skills. From bleeding and burns to seizures, and splinting, this first aid covers what rescures can do in the first few minutes before EMS arrives. 2-year certification

Basic Emergency Care - $25 - 6 hours
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
This course is geared toward the younger student (9-14 years old) who wants to learn CPR and basic first aid skills in a "hands-on" environment.

Babysitting - $65 - 4.5 hours
10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Basic care and handling of children, including first aid and CPR. includes choking emergincies, heat and cold problems, stings, bites, and snake care. We also include how to stop bleeding, splinting, and Standard precautions and scene safety.  Two-year certification.

Health Care Provider:

Basic Life Support for the Health-Care Provider - $65 - 5 hours. BLS for HCP Renewals $60.00
8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This 5 hours of instruction in Adult, Infant and Child CPR, AED training, and assessment techniques used by professional rescuers is based on the most current AHA guidelines. Includes 2-rescuer CPR and BVM and AED sceanio  practice, and a 2-year certification issued the day of class.

Basic Life Support Instructor Course - $450- two days,  8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The course is designed to teach those with current BLS Health Care Provider certification how to teach all levels of AHA CPR and First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen courses.A letter of recommendation is required. Heartsaver First Aid - $50 - 3 hours
3 hours of instruction designed for persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community, as well as those who want to learn first aid. Class includes : caring for bleeding emergencies, seizures, heat and cold related injuries, head, neck and spine care, and assessment of patients. 2-year certification

Bloodborne Pathogens - $30 - 1 hour.
This AHA lecture and video explains what bloodborne pathogens are and how to reduce the risks of exposure. This training meets OSHA compliance standards. Designed for workplace training with 5 or more employees.
