Norfolk Diabetes Clinical Trials

Real-world research

A clinical trial is a research study that is designed to test the effectiveness of new medical treatments or other medical interventions. Each clinical trial is designed to answer scientific questions and to find better ways to treat individuals with a specific disease.

Through the integration of basic science and clinical research, the Strelitz Diabetes Center conducts numerous clinical trials designed to develop possible new treatments for diabetes.

All clinical trials conducted at the Strelitz Diabetes Center are approved by the FDA and by the EVMS Institutional Review Board (IRB).
