Dr. Lieb joined the Strelitz Diabetes Center after completing his fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism in 2009 at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. During his fellowship Dr. Lieb studied the hormonal mechanisms underlying high blood pressure, and co-authored articles involving blood pressure-lowering medications, diabetes, and obesity. He was named the 2008 Warren Trust Postdoctoral Fellow by the Consortium for Southeastern Hypertension Control, and received the University of Virginia’s Department of Medicine Outstanding Clinical Fellow Award in 2009. In addition to general endocrine conditions, his clinical interests include high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. His research interests include inflammation, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
