Dr. Aloi graduated from the George Washington School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency and an endocrine, diabetes and metabolism fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He has clinical expertise in diabetes, endocrinology and cardiovascular disease.
His interests include:
- treatment and prevention of type 2 diabetes
- management of obesity and cardiovascular disease
Dr. Aloi has served as principal investigator on the NAVIGATOR diabetes prevention clinical trial and is involved in ongoing clinical trials in cardiovascular risk reduction and new therapies for type 2 Diabetes. He is on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
